Cyclist Kevin Nshutiraguma parts ways with Team Amani

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan professional cyclist Kevin Nshutiraguma has parted ways with Kenyan cycling team, Team Amani, by mutual agreement.

The 19-year-old joined the club at the beginning of the year, having previously raced for Cine Elmay/Rafiki Bike Cycling Club, where he began his cycling journey.

Nshutiraguma was not included in Team Amani’s line-up for the 2025 Tour du Rwanda, which took place from February 23 to March 2.

He cited Team Amani’s failure to honour their agreement regarding payment and equipment provision as reasons for his departure. He has since returned to his former club, Cine Elmay/Rafiki Bike Cycling Club.

This year marks his debut in senior-level competitions after graduating from the youth category. Nshutiraguma is considered one of Rwanda’s most promising young cyclists. In 2024, he secured third place overall in the Rwanda Youth Racing Cup, collecting 166 points across eight races.

In January, he also placed third in the Heroes Cycling Race 2025, taking first place in the Under-23 category.
