APR FC host perennial rivals Rayon Sports on Matchday Seven of Rwanda Premier League at Amahoro Stadium on Saturday, November 8. The derby kicks off at 3:00pm.
Both sides are separated by five points prior to the derby with Rayon Sports sitting in the second place with 13 points while hosts APR, who have played two games less, are eighth with 8 points from four games played.
APR go into the derby without key players like Burkinabe midfielder Memel Dao who will be out for a month due to an ankle injury he suffered during the team’s 1-0 victory over Mukura on October 19.
Meanwhile, head coach Adel Abderrahim brought Dauda Youssif back into the starting 11 while and Mamadou Sy starts on the bench. Both players rejoined APR FC first team earlier this week after two weeks in suspension due to misconduct.
Gilbert Mugisha also retained his starting berth in the right wing but Djibril Ouattara stays on the sidelines as he continues his recovery from illness.

Rayon Sports, on the other side, received injury boost as they have their star player Bigirimana back in the midfield after two weeks on the sidelines with an injury.
Aziz Bassane also starts in the right wing despite suffering a chest pain during their away win against Marines FC in Rubavu on Sunday, November 2.
Abderrahim’s side step onto the pitch knowing they aren’t just facing Rayon, they want to win and close gap to the top after Police FC slipped against in goalless draw against AS Kigali on Friday.
The game has produced some of the most iconic moments in the Rwandan Premier League.
Recent form adds spice to the encounter. APR have managed two wins and two draws in their opening four games, while Rayon boast four wins and just one loss.
