Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA), has extended the contract of Senegalese tactician Dr. Cheikh Sarr, the federation has confirmed. Sarr will be in charge of both the women and men national teams. In September, he led the men’s national team to the quarterfinals of the Afrobasket that was held in Kigali -Rwanda, involving 16 countries.
The next task for Dr Cheikh Sarr is to prepare the men’s national team for the upcoming FIBA World Cup 2023 qualifiers, which get underway in February next year as well as women’s national team for the 2023 Women’s Afrobasket.
