Africa-Press – Rwanda. Spanish coach Carlos Alos Ferrer has quashed rumors circulating that he resigned from Amavubi coaching role.
The news, which the Spaniard termed as “fake”, follows the sudden resignation of Ferwafa president Olivier Nizeyimana Mugabo who was instrumental in his appointment.
“I am not leaving my job. There is no truth in that news. It is fake news and I do not know where it is coming from,” Alos told Times Sport.
“I have a new two-year contract and I respect it very much,” he added.
Alos was appointed as the new Amavubi head coach in March 2022 following the exit of Vincent Mashami. He extended his stay on a two-year deal which was activated from April 1, 2023.
