Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rayon Sports have appointed Fleury Iquel Rudasingwa as new head coach for the women’s team.
Rudasingwa takes over from Claude Rwaka who was named assistant coach to Robertinho. Rwanda joined the men’s team after inspiring the women’s team to league title with two games remaining to close the campaign.
Djamila Dushimimana was hence named women’s assistant a coach, a post previously held by Rudasingwa.
The Blues are aiming to swoop trophies across both leagues, men and women, this season. The women’s team has already clinched the 2024/25 Rwanda Division 1 Women’s League title while Robertinho is pushing hard to end the men’s team’s six-year title jinx.
Rayon currently lead the table with 46 points and are a point clear of second-placed APR FC. The team is also into the semifinals of the Peace Cup where they will face Mukura VS, the only team that beat them in the league so far this season.
