Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan international Samuel Gueulette is just a win away from securing Belgian topflight qualification with his team Raal La Louviere.
Raal, which is one of the newly promoted sides in the Belgian second tier, is currently third on the table with 56 points while league leaders Wulte Waregem and second-placed RWDM are on 57 points.
Raal will play away at Lommel on Friday night while Zulte Waregem and RWDM also clash at the same time. No matter what happens in the other game, a win for Raal will give them one of the two automatic tickets to the Jupiler Pro League for the 2025/26 season.
Guelette who has been superb in the heart of midfield for Raal making 25 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist says they have their destiny in their own hands and they must stay focused.
“Anything is possible, we’ve seen it this season, especially in recent weeks. Now our fate is in our own hands. We have a big match with high stakes, but first we must overcome Lommel. It won’t be easy but we must stay focused and play our game.” Guelette told the Press ahead of the game.
Raal Louviere were playing in the Belgium fourth tier in 2022, but they earned two straight promotions to be in the second tier.
