Rwanda U18 and U20 handball national teams will be facing tough tests against Kenya and hosts Uganda, respectively, in the semi-finals of the ongoing U18 and U20 IHF Zone V competitions in Kampala, Uganda.
The U18 national team’s game Vs Kenya will kick-off at 1PM (Kigali Time), while the U20 national will take on Uganda in the semi-finals at 7PM (Kigali Time).
“We are aware of the task ahead of us. Winning against a very good side like Kenya will be good not only for this particular competition, but for the rest of the season,” said Rwanda U18 coach Richard Usengimana.
Aphrodice Sindayigaya, the U20 national team coach said they have hope to reach the finals and are focused ahead of the game.
“We are concentrating on the match against Uganda, which is going to be even tougher,” he said.
The tournaments serve as qualification events for the Continental Phase of the IHF Trophy Africa.
