Africa-Press – Rwanda. President Paul Kagame has reiterated his undying support for English Premier League club Arsenal even if they were once again dumped out of the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners were eliminated from the competition on 3-2 aggregate loss at the hands of German giants Bayern Munich after the latter beat them 1-0 in Wednesday night’s quarterfinal second leg at the Allianz Arena to set a semifinal date with Real Madrid who also saw off holders Manchester City on penalties.
Arsenal and Bayern are strategic partners of “Visit Rwanda” along with French side Paris Saint-Germain who also reached the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League after beating Barcelona 4-1 at the Camp Nou on Tuesday to progress with a 6-4 victory on aggregate.
Bayern Munich will take on Real Madrid in the last four first leg on April 30 whereas PSG will go up against Borussia Dortmund in another last four first leg tie on May 1.
