Africa-Press – Rwanda. Veteran Rwandan striker Meddie Kagere was on the score sheet as Namungo FC brushed aside Transit Camp FC 3-1 in the Tanzanian Cup at Azam Complex on Wednesday night, February 21.
Kagere, who joined Namungo FC on a six-month loan deal from Singida Fountain Gate FC, came from the bench to net the third goal for the home side with a superb finish in the 69th minute.
Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Asante had given Namungo a 2-0 lead before Kagere added the third. The visitors reduced scored a consolation goal in the 82nd minute.
Kagere, 37, could start on Saturday, February 24, when Namungo visit KMC ahead of match day 17 encounter in the Tanzanian Premier league.
