Patriots 84-72 Espoir
Power forward Frank Kamndoh and point guard Elliott Cole scored 20 points apiece to help Patriots overcome Espoir 84-72 at Petit Stade on Sunday, March 2.
Sunny Niyomugabo’s side started brightly, claiming the first two quarters 21-17 and 24-20 to take a 45-37 lead at the break.
In the second half, Espoir bounced back to win the third quarter 23-17 as they tried to orchestrate a comeback. However, Patriots held on to win the last quarter 22-12 to cement a win which moved them in third place with 9 points.
They are now a point shy of league leaders APR who have 10 points while Espoir stayed in seventh place.
In another game held on Sunday at Petit Stade, in the men’s league, UGB edged Orion 65-53 while Kepler beat AZOMCO 93-67.
