Africa-Press – Rwanda. Cameroonian tactician Jean Patrice Ndaki Mboulet has parted ways with Rwanda Energy Group (REG) to join Kepler VC on a two-year contract ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.

Ndaki’s move was confirmed by Kepler Director of communications and sports Claude Kabengera on Thursday.

He replaced Fidele Nyirimana whose contract ended after two seasons at the club.

The transfer occurred after Kepler VC closed the season in fourth place having been defeated by REG VC in the playoffs for the bronze medal.

The transfer followed a strong message issued by club president, Nathalie Munyampenda, who assured of necessary changes after the club’s shock elimination from the 2024/25 African Club Championship that took place in Misurata, Libya in April.

During his time at REG, Ndaki won the 2024 Rutsindura memorial tournament, on top of guiding the team to the national league playoffs for two consecutive seasons.

As a player, Ndaki was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Cameroon Volleyball League in 2000 while playing for Port Douala. Two years later, he moved to France where he played for four teams including AS Fréjus (2002/2003), Montpellier UC (2003-2005) and AS Cannes, with whom they reached the final of the Cup of France in 2006.

During the 2006/2007 season, he defended the colors of volleyball Saint-Brieuc Côtes-d’Armour (Pro A) before moving to Japanese side Sakai Blazers in 2007.

He also played for the Cameroon national volleyball team where made 240 appearances for the team. His younger brother, Yves Marcel Ndaki Mboulet, is also a volleyball player.

As a coach, Ndaki was part of the technical staff of the Cameroonian national team where he spent one year.
