Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda winger Jojea Kwizera was in top form over the weekend as he scored the only goal of the game in Rhode Island’s 1-0 victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Cup.
Meanwhile, midfielder Bonheur Mugisha again had full 90 minutes of action as his team Stade Tunisien lost 1-0 to giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
Despite the defeat, Mugisha will be playing in the CAF Confederation Cup next season as Cup runners since Esperance also won the Tunisian Ligue 1.
Elsewhere, Rafael York played his first game since joining Egyptian side Zed FC in November 2024.

Tunisia
Rwandan midfield enforcer Bonheur Mugisha played full time for Stade Tunisien who lost 1-0 to Esperance in the final of the League Cup on Sunday.
Despite the defeat, Stade Tunisien will still play in the 2025/26 Confederation Cup as Esperance also won the domestic Ligue 1.
Mugisha will now join the national team in Blida ahead of their two international friendlies against Algeria on June 5 and June 9.
USA
Winger Jojea Kwizera scored his first goal of the season on Saturday as Rhode Island FC pipped Pittsburgh Riverhounds 1-0 in the USL Cup.
The Rwanda international found the back of the net, assisted by Cameroonian forward Albert Dikwa for the match winner in the 19th minute. Kwizera played 84 minutes before being substituted.
Elsewhere, center back Phanuel Kavita was resolute at the Oneok Stadium on Sunday as Birmingham Legion FC traveled to defeat FC Tulsa 2-1.
Norway
Rwanda goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in his elements, making saves at the Ski Stadium on Saturday, as his team Ull/Kisa thrashed Follo FC 4-1 in the Norwegian third tier league.
Egypt
Winger Rafael York replaced Mohammed Sawaneh in the 56th minute playing on the left side of midfield as his team Zed FC drew 0-0 with Smuoha in the relegation playoff. It was his first game since joining Zed FC in February.
“Six tough months, I could probably do it again.” York posted on IG signifying his return to action.
