Africa-Press – Rwanda. APR center Aliou Diarra and REG point guard Jean-Jacques Boissy will feature for the Dallas Mavericks and the Milwaukee Bucks respectively at the forthcoming NBA Summer League which will take place in Las Vegas, United States from July 10-20.
Diarra and Boissy fly to the US on Wednesday ahead of the off-season competition held by the National Basketball Association (NBA) primarily at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The opportunity now makes them unavailable for their respective teams which are locked in the finals of the Rwanda Basketball League championship. Game 1 take place on Wednesday, July 2 at BK Arena.
Diarra is in the same roster as No.1 draft pick Cooper Flagg who eyes a flying start to his professional career with the Dallas Mavericks at the tournament.
Meanwhile, Boissy who helped Al Ahli Tripoli win the 2025 Basketball Africa League (BAL) championship, is poised to prove why he was finished the tournament as the tournament’s MVP.
NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has a rich history of showcasing future NBA stars. Former participants include 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown (who played at NBA Summer League in 2016 and 2017) and Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award recipients Kevin Durant (2007), Stephen Curry (2009), James Harden (2009), Russell Westbrook (2009), Giannis Antetokounmpo (2014) and Nikola Jokić (2015).
Flagg & Co. kick off their summer league slate with a high-profile matchup against a Los Angeles Lakers squad that once again features Bronny James on July 10.
