Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rayon Sports are finalising a deal with striker Yves Mugunga, who is expected to sign a two-year contract.

Talks are at an advanced stage, and unless there is a last-minute change, the deal should be completed before the transfer window closes.

Mugunga has also drawn interest from Kenyan clubs, but Rayon appears to be in the lead.

Meanwhile, Congolese forward Jesus Mokolo Ducapel has signed with AS Kigali.

The former Young Africans SC striker, most recently with ES Mostaganem in Algeria, joins the City of Kigali-sponsored club on a free transfer.

Transfers round-up:

Abba Umar, last season’s Rwanda Premier League top scorer with 17 goals, has joined Saudi Second Division side Wej Sport Club from Bugesera.

Innocent Assana NA and goalkeeper Patient Ndikuriyo have officially left Rayon Sports.

Abdoul-Rahman Rukundo and Christophe Bukuru have signed with SC Kiyovu. Rukundo agreed to a one-year deal, while Bukuru signed for two years.

Cameroonian goalkeeper Djaoyang James Bienvenu, along with Amiss Cédric and others, have also joined Kiyovu.

In preseason friendlies, Kiyovu lost 2-0 to Vision FC and 2-1 to Bugesera FC.

They will host Rayon Sports on the opening day of the 2025/26 season at Kigali Pelé Stadium (7:30 PM kickoff).

Khadimé Ndiaye, former Rayon goalkeeper, has started training with Police FC in Kenya after his contract expired.

Jean Bosco Kayitaba has signed a one-year deal with Etincelles FC.
