Africa-Press – Rwanda. Nelly Mukazayire has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sports (MINISPORTS).
Her appointment was announced in a communiqué released by the Office of the Prime Minister on Wednesday, September 11.
She replaces Zephanie Niyonkuru, who was removed from the position on August 23. The latter held the role since January 30, 2023.
Mukazayire, 42, is an experienced Rwandan economist and public administrator.
She previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Convention Bureau, a division of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB).
In March 2023, she was promoted to Deputy CEO of RDB.
She also served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the President and as a Senior Adviser to the Chief of Staff.
