Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda head coach Yves Murenzi has announced the final 12-man roster for the first window of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Africa Qualifiers, commencing November 27 in Radès, Tunisia.
The team has been boosted by the arrival of American center David Joseph McCormack, who joined the squad in Tunisia on Tuesday, November 25, where they played warm-up games against Libya.
Rwanda will play first Group C qualifier against Guinea on November 27 before taking on hosts Tunisia two days later and Nigeria on November 30. All matches will take place at Salle Multidisciplinaire de Radès.
The 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers will be played across six windows between November 2025 and March 2027, featuring 420 games worldwide. In Africa, the windows are set for November 2025 as well as February and July 2026.
The top three teams from each group will progress to the second round, joining three qualifiers from another group.
