Patriots basketball club head coach Henry Mwinuka has urged his players to stay focused and aim to end their regular season in the national basketball league unbeaten.

The Patriots on Friday night beat Espoir 80-65 at LDK gymnasium to retain the top spot in the ongoing Rwanda Basketball League.

They went into the game assured of a first place finish, regardless of the result, but coach Mwinuka has challenged his players “take it very seriously”.

“We need to finish the regular season on a high, we are top of the table and we know what we are able to accomplish. We won’t settle for less.”

Currently, Patriots lead table with 26 points, one clear of the second-placed APR and REG who occupy third place.
