Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Energy Group (REG) Volleyball Club have acquired the services of star setter Crispin Ntanteteri as they look to retain the 2025 Rutsindura Memorial Tournament, due at Petit Séminaire Virgo Fidelis, in Huye District from Saturday, May 24 to Sunday, May 25.
Ntanteteri is joining REG VC from runners-up Police VC, becoming the club’s first signing in the volleyball offseason transfer window.
Club coach Jean Patrice Ndaki Mboulet confirmed the player’s move to Times Sports.
The coach said the player has been preparing with the rest of the team, hoping to see him make an impact in club’s quest to retain Rutsindura Memorial tournament.
REG are holders of the tournament which they won after beating Gisagara VC in the final.
“Ntanteteri is a good setter. I believe he is among the best young options to have in the squad as we are also going for Rutsindura’s tournament,” Ndaki said.
According to the draw, REG VC were pooled in Group B alongside Gisagara VC and Police VC.
Prior to the competition, coach Ndaki said, “The perfect thing is we will play at the indoor courts in this tournament. Besides that, it’s a great opportunity to test ourselves after reinforcing the squad.”
