Mukura VS vs Rayon Sports, Huye Stadium
APR FC vs Police FC, Kigali Pele Stadium
Kick-Off: 3:00 pm
Mukura Victory Sports are aiming to complete a hat trick of wins over Rayon Sports when the two teams square off at Huye Stadium on Tuesday time in a 2024/25 season Peace Cup semifinals first leg game.
The Huye-based club has been a bogey side of the Blues so far this season as they beat them home and away in the domestic league and Ghanaian striker Boateng Mensah is eager to cause even the worst for the visitors on Tuesday.
“Definitely they are strong; after we beat them twice, they will be coming like wounded lions. But nothing will change on our side, even if we meet them 100 times this season we will beat them 100 times. We have a strong team,” A positive looking Boateng told Times Sport.
With the exception of Samson Oladosu, who is out through an injury he picked in week 23 game against Police FC, coach Afahmia Lotfi has all his arsenals fit for the encounter.
For Rayon Sports, it will be a herculean task as the team is in disarray. Head coach Robertinho Oliveira is suspended due to poor performance and his newly appointed deputy Claude Rwaka will lead the team as caretaker.
The team will also be missing players such as goalkeeper Khadime Ndiaye, midfielder Souleymane Daffe and centre back Amiable Nsabimana who are not part of the team in Huye.
Elsewhere at Kigali Pele Stadium, defending champions Police FC face an arduous task when they battle APR FC in a crunch encounter.
APR, after climbing at the top of the league table after week 23, are brimming with confidence and will be looking forward to winning the encounter to keep their hopes for a double alive.
Realistically, the Peace Cup is the only chance for Police FC to win a trophy this season and they will be going all out to knock out APR.
