Africa-Press – Rwanda. Police FC easily dispatched Gasogi United 2-0 on Friday afternoon in a Rwanda Premier League week 24 game at Kigali Pele Stadium.
It was a game Police FC dominated right from the start as the “law enforcers” continued to build on their recent fine form.
Fresh from his impressive display in the Peace Cup semi finals first leg against APR in which he scored a 90th minute equalizer, Nigerian winger Chukwuma Odili gave Police the lead in the 38th minute with a fine effort inside the penalty box.
The goal came as no surprise as Vincent Mashami’s men had played almost half an hour in the half of Gasogi.
After the break, Gasogi led by skipper Akbar Muderi tried to prevent Police FC from having spaces to pass the ball as they kept them at bay.
Chances were far and few for both teams until the 89th minute when Police midfielder Pacifique Ngabonziza popped up with the second goal.
The victory lifted Police FC to 4th position with 36 points.
