Africa-Press – Rwanda. The 2025 June transfer window opened on June 1 as players and coaches seek to change teams.
The window, which opens on Sunday, June 1, and officially closes on August 31, is the biggest in football calendar year and many deals are done.
The Rwandan transfer market promises to be another exciting window as clubs look to sign good players and coaches ahead of next season.
Times Sport takes a look at some of the transfers which could happen during the June-August window.
Obed Uwumukiza (Mukura VS to APR or Rayon)
Mukura Victory Sports right-back Obed Uwumukiza has been outstanding on his debut season with the club. But his spell at the club could be shorter than expected as he is linked with a move to APR.
The former Muhazi United defender is said to have already agreed personal terms with the army side and compete for a place with Gilbert Byiringiro and his club is also ready to let him move.
Meanwhile, ex-Mukura Victory Sports head coach Lotfi Afahmia who is now in charge of Rayon could also swoop for him as Omborenga Fitina is leaving the club and Ali Serumogo’s contract is also coming to an end.
Joseph Sackey (Muhazi United to Police, Mukura or Rayon)

A disciplined player on and off the pitch, Sackey shields the back well and also sets the tempo of the game. He netted four goals from his defensive midfield position and this season he has already scored 3.
The Ghanaian player was courted by both Rayon Sports and Police FC in the January transfer window but had to stay at Muhazi and lead their quest for survival. Mukura are also in race to secure his services but chances are high that he could leave the already relegated team and join one of the three teams in the June transfer window.
Olivier Niyonzima (Rayon Sports to AS Kigali)

Umar Abba (Bugesera to Police, Rayon, or AS Kigali)

Current Gicumbi boss Amoro lacks the required license to be a head coach and he could act as the assistant of Ruremesha.

Boateng Mensah Agyenim
The versatile Ghanaian forward scored 7 goals and provided 6 assists during the just-concluded league season. He also scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists as Mukura reached the Peace Cup semifinals.
Mukura’s former coach Lotfi Afahmia is eager to bring Boateng to Rayon as he looks set to beef up his attack for the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Boateng, who can play as a supporting striker, main striker or a winger, is also being considered by APR as a replacement for Mamadou Sy who is linked to a move to Tanzanian side Azam and Victor Mbaoma who is on his way out of the club after his contract expired at the end of the season.
Police FC are also monitoring his situation in an attempt to secure his services.
