Rachael Muema bids farewell to Rayon ahead of Greece move

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Kenya international Rachael Muema has sent an emotional farewell message to Rayon Sports as she prepares to begin a new chapter of her career with Greek side MLS Flamingo.

Muema left the Blues at the start of the season but was initially unable to complete her move to Greece due to delays in securing her International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

With the documentation now sorted, the left-back is set to embark on her European adventure, where she will link up with fellow Kenyans Nancy Atako and Samantha Akinyi at MLS Flamingo.

“I am proud to have been one of you. I cherish the memories we shared, and I am super proud to have been a Gikundiro player. Cheers to new beginnings. Thank you for being my second family,” Muema told Kenyan outlet Game Ni 90.

During her time at Rayon Sports Women’s FC, Muema enjoyed a successful spell, winning the Women’s League title, the Peace Cup and the FERWAFA Heroes Cup. She also represented the club in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
