AS Muhanga 1-1 Etincelles FC
AS Kigali 1-0 Marine FC
Rayon sports 3-1 Rutsiro FC
Rayon Sports grabbed three important points by beating 3-1 stubborn Rutsiro FC at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday. The win moved the Blues to second place on the Rwanda Premier League table with seven points.
Rayon once again made their fans smile as the win ended their winless streak with caretaker coach Haruna Ferouzi on touchline.
Gloire Tambwe Ngongo opened the scoring inside two minutes of action before Jonas Mumbele Markidogo equalized six minutes after a defensive mistake from Emmanuel ‘Kabange’ Nshimiyimana.
Burundian midfielder Abedi Bigirimana scored the second goal in the 42nd minute, thanks to wonderful cross from captain Ali Omar Serumogo.
Bigirimana could have made it 3-1 after Basane was fouled inside the penalty box, but his his penalty was saved by goalkeeper Nzana Ebini.
Bassane then scored the third goal thanks to good pass from Gloire Tambwe.
Meanwhile AS Muhanga played 1- all draw against Etincelles at Muhanga Stadium. Telesphore Niyonizeye gave the home side the lead with an opening goal in the 25th minute before Denis Kaweesa canceled it in the 76th minute for Etincelles FC
Elsewhere, AS Kigali beat Marine FC 1-0, thanks to the lone goal from Didier Ndayishimiye in the 61st minute.
The action will continue on Sunday, October 19, when Police FC face Amagaju FC while APR FC will host Mukura VS at Kigali Pele stadium.
