Africa-Press – Rwanda. After storming final of the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA final, Rayon Sports Women FC head coach Claude Rwaka insists their mission isn’t accomplished yet as they vow to win the regional tournament for the very first time in history of Rwandan women’s club football.

After a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes of action, Rayon Sport WFC ejected Kampala Queens (Uganda) 4-2 in penalty shootouts in the first semifinal at the Kasarani Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Rayon Sports WFC will now face former champions JKT Queens of Tanzania in Tuesday’s final at the same venue.

Prior to the match, Rwaka said high on the agenda is lifting the trophy ‘because we are capable of winning it.’

“We are more than ready for every match ahead of us, but mostly the final. We finished the job in the semifinal but we needed to reach the final of competition, we will need to focus on trophy,” said Rwaka.

“We have to make history because and we have been consistent in this tournament, we have to keep the pace,” Rwaka added.

Rayon Sport WFC ejected Kampala Queens (Uganda) 4-2 in penalty shootouts in the first semifinal after the match had ended goalless at the Kasarani Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Kenya Police Bullets and Kampala Queens face-off in a play-off for third place.
