Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rayon Sports are advanced talks with Rwandan shot stopper Olivier Kwizera as move to the Blues beckons.

The club is looking to sign two more players to complete their 2025/26 squad and Times Sport understands that Kwizera is on Afahmia Lotfi’s wanted list.

“There are players we are in talks with. We want to add two foreign players and two Rwandans to complete the team properly. We are looking for players who will play a real role in this sporting year.” Afahmia Lotfi added

Meanwhile, Rayon also signed Mukura VS defensive midfielder Aimable Ntarindwa on a two-year contract. He is joining the club after seeing off his contract at the Huye-based club.

It is reported that Ntarindwa was paid a Rfw10 million signing on fee and will be receiving a salary per month of Rwf700,000.

Ntarindwa joined Mukura VS in 2022 from second tier side UR-Huye FC.

Among other players wanted by the Blues is right back Laurent Nshimiye who was playing for relegated team Vision FC.

He joins other new signings, namely Gloire Tambwe, Prince Michel Musore, Mohamed Chelly, Chris Rushema, Mohamed Chelly, Chadrack Belo Bingi and Harerimana Abdallahziz.

The club also filled their vacant position in the coaching department, with Burundian Ferouz Haruna joining as assistant coach.

Akayezu completes Gorilla FC move

AS Kigali defender Jean Bosco Akayezu has joined a Gorilla on a two-year deal. He moved to the club as free agent after two years with the Citizens.

The club, owned by Hadji Yusuf Mudaheranwa, also signed Tesele Tichick Masengo for one year. The Congolese forward was in talks with Rayon Sports before negotiations collapsed as he preferred to join Gorilla.

Nshimiyimana replace Lotfi as Mukura head coach

Canisius Nshimiyimana has been appointed as head coach of Mukura Victory Sports for one-year deal.

Nshimiyimana was serving as assistant coach to then head coach Lotfi Afahmia and the club decided to promote him after Lotfi joined Rayon Sports.

He will be assisted by Jean De Dieu Mateso.

Nshimiyimana joined Mukura Victory Sports on August 6, 1998 in the youth team.

In early 1999, Nshimiyimana played for the national youth team to the CECAFA tournament in Kenya and after the games, he joined Amavubi.

He was part of Amavubi’s team which played took part in the 2004 Africa Nations Cup in Tunisia. He is also part of the 1999 Cecafa Challenge Cup triumphant side.

Rutsiro FC have extended the contract of Amza Nkubito who will spend another two years in Western Province side.

The club also extended contracts of Mumbele Malikidogo and Jean Kabula who both signed a two-year deal each.

They have also released goalkeeper Evaliste Kagame, Shaban Mousa Ndusha, Eric Tuyishime and Olivier Bwira Bandu.

Free agent goalkeeper Habarurema Gahungu has signed a two-year contract with Musanze FC and Emmanuel Ruremesha’s side has also signed Omar Bizimungu, who was playing for Marines FC on a two-year contract with Musanze FC.
