Africa-Press – Rwanda. Richard Mugisha will effectively serve as secretary general of the Rwandan football governing body (FERWAFA) on interim basis until a permanent staff to take the role is hired.
Mugisha is now filling the vacant position left by Adolphe Kalisa whose was working with the outgoing FA administration since August 2023.
The federation announced Mugisha’s appointment just hours after a new executive committee led by FERWAFA President Fabrice Shema was elected during a General Assembly held at Kigali Serena Hotel.
Mugisha is part of the new executive committee as federation’s Second Vice-President in charge of Technical Matters , and he will juggle both responsibilities until the FA gets a new secretary general.
“The executive Commitee has appointed Richard Mugisha as the acting secretary general of Rwanda football federation,” the statement reads in part.
Ferwafa has also maintained Louis Hakizimana who will continue to be the head of Referees Commision until December.
