Africa-Press – Rwanda. Incoming Sudanese clubs Al-Merreikh Club and Al Hilal SC will take on Kiyovu SC and Police FC respectively in their first matches of the Rwanda Premier League campaign.
The league fixture schedule for the 2025/26 campaign was revised on Wednesday, November 19, after Rwanda FA confirmed that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) approved the participation of the two clubs in the Rwandan league.
Al Merreikh’s first league match will be against SC Kiyovu at Kigali Pele Stadium on Monday, November 24, at 6PM while Al Hilal will host leaders Police FC at Amahoro Stadium on Wednesday, November 26 at 6PM.
Meanwhile, Rayon Sports will host Al Hilal on January 16, 2026 while APR FC will welcome Al-Merreikh, a day later.
The Sudan Premier League has been halted since April 2023, prompting top flight clubs to seek temporary relocation.
Last season, Sudanese rivals Al Hilal and Al Merreikh — who have between them won 49 of the previous 53 league titles, featured in Mauritanian Premier League, in Northwest Africa.
