Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda international Steve Rubanguka has signed for Cyprus Second Division side Spartakos Kitiou FC on a one-year deal.
The Amavubi midfielder joined the club from Saudi Arabian side Al Najoom.
He also had stints with Moldovan fourth tier side Zimbru FC, Greek side Karaiskakis, Koninklijke Rupel Boom FC, Patro Eisden and RFC Wetteren in Belgium.
In related transfer news, Francois Kalisa joined Musanze Fc as assistant coach to Emmanuel Ruremesha while AS Muhanga completed the signings of Onesme Twizerimana from Vision FC signed and free agent Cedric Kubwimana. They both signed two-year deal each.
Meanwhile, Marc Nkubana returned to Gasogi United for the next two seasons while Serge Kabanda joined AS Kigali on a one-year deal.
FIFA lifts transfer ban on Kiyovu SC
Kiyovu SC will finally return to the transfer market after World football governing body (FIFA) cleared all transfer restrictions against the club.
With the ban now lifted, the Darcy Mutunzi became the first player to join the Green Baggies from second division side Motar FC. He signed a three-year contract.
Kiyovu paid Mutunzi a signing on fee worth Rwf2,000,000 to secure the services of Mutunzi who will receive a salary of Rwf300 every month.
