Rutsiro FC New Coach Aims for Top Eight Finish

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rutsiro FC head coach Gustave Niyonkuru has vowed to guide the club to a top eight finish in the Rwanda Premier League this season.

The Burundian tactician was appointed last week, replacing Radjab Bizumuremyi, who was dismissed following a run of poor results.

Niyonkuru made an impressive start on the touchline as Rutsiro FC stunned Al Hilal with a 2-1 victory, moving the Western Province-based side to 11th place on 13 points.

The former Vital’O coach is now eager to maintain the momentum as he eyes a place in the league’s top eight.

“I want to build a strong team that can finish among the top eight in the league, and it is possible,” Niyonkuru said.

“We have to take it game by game, starting with the next match against SC Kiyovu. Finishing in the top eight would be a big achievement for us.”

“We will do our best to achieve our target, but everyone involved with the club must be united. We need to work together throughout the entire season.”

Rutsiro FC’s next test will be against Kiyovu SC on December 21 at Kigali Pele Stadium.
