Africa-Press – Rwanda. The local volleyball governing body has confirmed that Rwanda will be represented at the forthcoming 2025 Senior Continental Beach Volleyball Championship, scheduled for June 23-30 in Martil, on Morocco’s Mediterranean coast.
A total of 88 women’s pairs from 22 African countries and 114 male pairs representing 27 nations will be battling for tickets for the Beach Volleyball World Championships which will take place in November.
Other participating countries include Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria, Uganda, Senegal, DR Congo, South Africa, Botswana, Benin, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritius, Central African Republic, Mozambique, Niger, Cape Verde, Comoros, Sierra Leone, Togo, and host nation Morocco.
Specific squads and coaching staff to represent Rwanda are yet to be announced, according to the federation.
Rwanda last championed in the 2024 Zone Five Beach Volleyball Olympic Qualifiers, securing a spot in the next round (Continental Phase) of Olympic Games qualifiers. They also secured a ticket for the upcoming All-African Games.
