Africa-Press – Rwanda. Marines FC defeated Rutsiro FC 2-0 at Umuganda Stadium on Saturday, October 4, to move top of Rwanda Premier League after two match days.
Mubaraka Nizeyimana and Fabio Nkundimana scored in the 77th and 90+8 minutes respectively to give Yves Rwasamanzi’s team three points.
Marines still have a game in hand against APR FC who travelled to Cario, Egypt, for the second leg of the CAF Champions League against Pyramids. APR lost first leg 2-0 at Kigali Stadium.
Meanwhile, Mukura Victory Sports and Kiyovu SC played goalless draw while Musanze FC were held by Bugesera FC to a 1-1 draw at Stade Ubworoherane.
Bugesera opened the scoring in the 87th minute courtesy of Valua Byishimo before Musanze FC salvaged a point after scoring the equalizer in the 90+5 minute through Sunday Inemesit.
Actions continues on Sunday when Gasogi United host Rayon Sports at Kigali Pele Stadium at 15:00 while Police FC will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the season when they take on AS Muhanga at 18:30.
The match between APR FC and Etincelles FC has been postponed to 3 December 2025 as the military side is still in the CAF Champions League against Pyramids FC on Sunday.
