SKOL Brewery Ltd announces sponsorship agreement for Veteran Clubs World Championship in Kigali

Kigali, May 30, 2024: SKOL Brewery Ltd and VCWC are thrilled to announce the signing of a sponsorship agreement for the 2024 edition of the Veteran Clubs World Championship (VCWC). The championship will be held from September 1 to 10, 2024, in Kigali, with SBL proudly taking on the role of Nation Sponsor through its flagship product, SKOL Lager beer.

The VCWC Rwanda 2024 edition will see 150 football legends from around the world converging in Rwanda for an exciting tournament. In addition to the football action, the event will feature five economic forums and numerous sponsor events, making it a landmark occasion for sports and business alike.

As part of this collaboration, SKOL Lager will play a significant role in the Kick-off cultural event, an event that will precede the opening game and showcase some of Rwanda’s finest local talents. Additionally, the Legends Fan Zone will be set up around the city of Kigali, providing fans with unique opportunities to engage with their football heroes. Highlights of the event will include Trophy tour around the country, Meet & Greet sessions where SKOL staff will interact with the legends at SBL Bar, and exhibition games that will include male and female players from Rayon Sports alongside the football legends.
