SC Kiyovu vs Muhazi United (Kigali Pele Stadium)
Muhazi United will be looking to beat SC Kiyovu at Kigali Pele Stadium on Thursday, May 1, to keep their hopes of staying in the Rwanda Premier League.
Emmanuel Ruremesha’s side dropped in the relegation zone after losing 1-0 to Musanze FC on April 26 at Ubworoherane Stadium.
They sit in 15th place with 25 points, four points behind Kiyovu who are 10th place with 30 points.
While neither side is safe from relegation yet, Ruremesha knows what’s at stake as a defeat would put them back in serious danger of playing in the second division next season.
“We are under pressure for sure and we need to get points against Kiyovu, who have been doing well recently. So we are aware of that and we are ready for the battle,” Ruremesha said
But Kiyovu skipper Djihad Nzeyurwanda insists his sode has no plan of stepping back either.
“We are not safe yet. So every game is a final for us,” he said.
“We know Muhazi want to avoid relegation and so do we. All Players know what to do and we are ready for the tie,” Nzeyurwanda said.
Elsewhere Etincelles who are 11th with 29 points will take on 8th placed Musanze FC at Umuganda Stadium.
