Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Premier League side Sunrise FC have named Didier Mfashingabo as the new skipper for the coming 2023/24 season.
The agile goal tender takes over from Leon Uwambajimana who has led the team for several years.
Mfashingabo was Sunrise FC’s safest pair of hands since the departure of Jean De Dieu Nsabimana to Bugesera FC in 2021.
He will be assisted by experienced players such as Samson Babua as Sunrise FC hopes to at least finish in the top half of the table.
The Nyagatare based club made a couple of good signings including Robert Mukongotya from Mukura FC who was among the best players in the 2022/23 campaign.
