Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Ambassador’s Taekwondo Cup tournament 2021 will take place on Saturday, October 23-24 in Kigali, the Rwanda Taekwondo Federation (RTF) has confirmed.
This will be the eighth edition of the annual tournament that is sponsored by the Korean Embassy in Kigali and organised by the Rwanda Taekwondo Federation.
It will take place at Amahoro indoor stadium. According to Boniface Mbonigaba, the Secretary General of RTF, the tournament will not have fans in attendance due to Covid-19 preventive measures.
“It is a tournament that will be played in a unique way because we are still in a unique situation where we need to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Local clubs expected to attend this competition are including: Kirehe Taekwondo Family Club, Mahama Taekwondo Academy, Kivu Vision Taekwondo Club, Dream Taekwondo Club, Dream Fighters Taekwondo Club, Urban Taekwondo club, Kigali International Taekwondo Club (KITA).
The others are; Kigali Olympic Taekwondo club (KOTA), Nyamata Taekwondo Club, Rwanda Police Taekwondo Club, Kiziba Taekwondo Academy, Special Line Up Taekwondo Club, Unity Taekwondo Club, and White Star TC, Star TC.
