Transfers Angiro Niyonkuru Join Police VC Ntagengwa Exits

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Energy Group (REG) VC left attacker Gideon Angiro and former Gisagara Volleyball Club captain Gloire Niyonkuru are on the verge of joining Police VC who are set to part ways with their club captain Olivier Ntagengwa.

Police men’s and women’s clubs, have been a hot topic in the transfer market as they continue to strengthen their squads before taking their offseason tour to Uganda for the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) International Tournament, scheduled for September 12-14.

Angiro has reached the end of his two-year contract with REG and Times Sport understands that Police VC are targeting the Uganda international as a potential replacement for setter Crispin Ntateteri who crossed over to REG.

On Police radar is also Gisagara VC captain Niyonkuru who recently informed the club about his desire to leave.

While Niyonkuru’s exit is on the horizons, Gisagara VC are now targeting REG middle blocker Ronald Muvara and captain Sylvester Ndayisaba to fill his void.

Meanwhile, Police captain Ntagengwa is winding down his playing career to embark on coaching career.

Sources told Times Sport that the veteran is joining REG where he will serve the player-coach role.

He is now reportedly set to join club’s coaching staff as an assistant to head coach Benon Mugisha.
