Twagirayezu Joins REG as RRA Pursues Kenyan Star

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Star middle blocker Emmy Twagirayezu has reportedly left Police VC as he looks set to sign a two-year contract with Rwanda Energy Group (REG).

According to sources, Twagirayezu has already bid farewell to his Police VC teammates and is awaiting official confirmation as REG’s new player.

REG begin their training for the 2025/26 season on Monday, August 11.

Twagirayezu helped Police VC finish as runners-up of the 2024/25 league after losing the title to APR VC in the finals. He joins the club which his Police side eliminated in the semifinals of the national volleyball league playoffs.

Should the deal go through, he will be reunited with his former teammate, Crispin Ntateteri who also left Police VC for REG at the end of the league campaign in May.

Meanwhile, Kenya international Marion Indeche is in final talks to sign for Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA).

Indeche, who plays for Kenyan national team, has been training with RRA, now under coach Elia Mutabazi, since August 5 and he could feature in the squad set for an off-season trip to Uganda for the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) International Tournament, scheduled for September 12–14.

According to club insiders, three more players from APR WVC and one from Wisdom WVC are also in negotiations with the team over a potential move.
