Africa-Press – Rwanda. Volleyball governing body (FRVB) has announced that the 2024 Liberation volleyball tournament will take place from July 26-28.
Times Sport understands that the tournament will attract only teams playing in the first division.
Some 12 teams – six in each of men’s and women’s categories, confirmed their participation.
Gisagara, Police, Kepler, APR, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) and Kigali Volleyball Club (KVC) will be contesting for men’s trophy while APR, Ruhango, IPRC-Kigali, RRA, Police and Kepler are vying for the silverware in women category.
In 2023, APR won the Liberation Cup volleyball tournament title in the men’s category while Police won the women’s tournament.
