Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Energy Group Volleyball Club have started preparations for the 2023 African Club Championships due from May 9-22, in Tunis, Tunisia.

The Rwandan champions are carrying out daily training drills at Notre Dame des Anges Primary School.

REG last appeared at the continental in 2021 in Tunisia where they finished the campaign sitting ninth. They, however, didn’t take part in the 2022 edition as the institution allocated its budget to the basketball team during the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2022.

Speaking to Times Sport, club head coach Pierre Marshal Kwizera said, “We will go in the tournament hoping to do impress.”

Squad: Irene Jacob Cyusa, Emmy Twagirayezu, Eric Kwizera, Marcel Guiondong, PeaceMaker Twagirayesu, Gloire Niyonkuru, Simeon Rwigema, Jean Baptiste Tuyiringire, Yvan Mahoro, Philippe Neri Singizwa, Romeo Ngabo, Pacifique Iradukunda and Augustin Mareshal Guebela Boyomo.
