Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan volleyball side Rwanda Energy Group (REG) have completed the signing of two foreign players including Ugandan left-attacker Angiro Nespal Gideon from Uganda Christian University (UCU) and Sudanese left-attacker Thon Magembo from Sport-S Volleyball Club.

The duo penned a two-year contract each.
REG have been busy during the off-season, strengthening their team with several new players including setter Sylvestre Ndayisaba and center Ronald Muvara, both from Gisagara Volleyball Club.
Ndayisaba and Muvara, who played a key role in the Gisagara’s 2023 league title glory, completed their move to REG in October where they inked a two-year deal each.
According to the local Volleyball governing body, the new volleyball league season will start in January. Gisagara VC were crowned champions of the league, beating APR, Police and REG to the title.
They will represent Rwanda at the 2024 African club championship.
