‘’La chambre de commerce de Thiès est dans la légalité et le droit’’, a dit Oumou Thiam Sangaré, secrétaire générale de l’institution consulaire, l’ors d’un point de presse conjoint, lundi, dans les locaux de ladite chambre.
Des responsables de l’institution consulaire, dont notamment le président Modou Diop et le vice-président Moustapha Diop ont profité de cette rencontre avec la presse pour clarifier la position de la chambre de commerce de Thiès dans ce contentieux.

Dans un communiqué, le bureau dirigé par Serigne Mboup a rejeté le ‘’projet d’ordre du jour portant sur le renouvellement’’ de l’exécutif de l’UNCCIAS. Le texte fait valoir la ‘’non-vacance d’aucun poste du bureau’’ sortant.
‘’Constatant la non-vacance d’aucun poste du bureau et en se référant aux articles 4 et 5 du décret 2002.516 du 16 mai 2002 portant règles d’organisation et de fonctionnement de l’Union nationale des chambres de commerce, d’industrie et d’agriculture du Sénégal, nous rejetons le projet d’ordre du jour portant renouvellement du bureau de I’UNCCIAS’’, peut-on lire dans le même document.
Serigne Mboup et six autres membres du bureau, signataires du texte, disent ‘’exhorter la tutelle à finaliser les textes devant résulter de l’application de la loi 2017-15 du 6 février 2017 portant création de la Chambre nationale de commerce, d’industrie et de services du Sénégal (CCI-SN) et des chambres régionales de commerce, d’industrie et de services (CCIR)’’.
