Africa-Press – Senegal. Le stock d’oignon disponible dans les marchés de Tambacounda, de l’ordre de quarante-quatre tonnes, permet de satisfaire les besoins en consommation du produit dans la région, a assuré à l’APS le chef du service régional du commerce, Mady Danfakha.
»Les stocks d’oignons répertoriés sur les marchés de Tambacounda sont de 44 tonnes. Ils couvrent les besoins de consommation de la région’’, a-t-il déclaré lors d’un entretien.
Le chef du service régional du commerce a toutefois admis l’existence d’une certaine tension sur le prix de l’oignon. »Le prix du kilogramme d’oignon qui s’échangeait à 800 voire 900 francs, a connu une hausse jusqu’à atteindre, 1200 francs à la suite d’un constat sur le terrain’’, a-t-il rapporté.

« These are times of high demand. In Tambacounda, the tension on this product is less serious than in other regions, because of the lifting of the freeze on onion imports from The Gambia. This decision made the situation less complicated in Tambacounda than in other regions.
Il a assuré que la situation allait d’ici à quelques jours, revenir à la normale au plan national, tablant notamment sur une baisse du prix du produit si le Sénégal réussit à en importer en grande quantité.
