
Africa-Press – Senegal. Les entreprises implantées dans la commune de Kahi (Kaffrine, centre) doivent s’acquitter de leurs responsabilités sociétales d’entreprises (RSE) en vue de contribuer au développement économique du terroir, a estimé le maire de cette localité El Hadji Aliou Diané.
« We invite companies that are established in the municipality of Kahi to fulfill their corporate social responsibilities, in order to further contribute to the economic development of the area, » said the mayor of Kahi.
Mr. Diané was speaking on the sidelines of the final of the popular local championship in the presence of the Minister of Town Planning, Housing and Public Hygiene, Abdoulaye Seydou Sow, also mayor of the commune of Kaffrine.
“The town of Kahi is full of enormous potential and natural resources that need to be exploited,” argued its mayor.
El Hadji Aliou Diané, also Director of Housing Promotion at the Ministry of Urban Planning, reaffirmed his intention to build “mini-boreholes and agricultural farms in the commune (…) to better meet the needs of the populations sometimes face enormous difficulties.
The mayor of Kahi also requested State assistance and more support to meet the challenges related to rural electrification, drinking water supply, the construction of a stand for the municipal stadium, as well as other basic socio-economic infrastructure.
