Africa-Press – Senegal. A seminar to share experiences in the mobilization of tax revenues between the member states of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) will be held in Dakar from Friday to Saturday, announces a communicated the sub-regional organization received at the APS.

During this seminar which brings together the main actors of the financial authorities of the UEMOA member states, she indicates, « the best performances by type of tax collected will be presented and good practices in mobilizing tax revenue identified”.
La mobilisation accrue des recettes fiscales reste un défi majeur pour les Etats membres de l’Union malgré les diverses réformes fiscales, lesquelles en synergie avec celles initiées par les Etats membres ont permis d’améliorer le niveau global des recettes fiscales, souligne l’UEMOA.
Elle relève cependant que l’objectif communautaire d’un taux de pression fiscale de 20% minimum n’est toujours pas atteint.
“A titre illustratif, en 2022, pour l’ensemble des Etats de l’Union, les recettes fiscales ont représenté 13,8% du PIB, avec de meilleures performances pour le Sénégal qui a enregistré un taux de 18,2%’’, note communiqué.
