The 49th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Senegal was celebrated on Saturday in the presence of members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Dakar and Senegalese officials whose work contributes to the strengthening of bilateral relations, found the APS.
The meeting took place in the Phare des Mamelles restaurant, decorated for the occasion with flags of the two countries and plastic works marking the contemporary history of the country of Fidel Castro.

Cuba’s Ambassador to Senegal, Maydolis Sosa Hilton welcomed the presence of his guests on such an important date, urging them « to continue working to strengthen ties in the areas they exercise with professionalism and a spirit of collaboration ».
The diplomat particularly insisted on the support of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese abroad, « direct interlocutors in official meetings to assess the agendas and interests between the two governments and their respective ministries of Foreign Affairs « .
