Africa-Press – Senegal. Former Secretary of State for Senegalese Abroad, Moïse Sarr, confirmed to APS on Tuesday his appointment as chairman of the board of directors of the Société d’exploitation the regional express train (SETER).

Last January, the President of the Republic, Macky Sall, obtained from the French partners of SETER the presidency of the board of directors of the said company, according to Mr. Sarr.

On this basis, he was appointed to this position to replace Stéphane Volant.

The new Chairman of the SETER Board of Directors sent his “heartfelt and sincere thanks” to the Head of State for the “renewed confidence” in him.

« Happy to join the railway family, I will spare no effort, with everyone’s support, to give new impetus to one of the most structuring and innovative projects of the presidency [of] Macky Sall’ ‘, he wrote on his Facebook page.

The State of Senegal has taken a stake in the capital of SETER, the company in charge of operating the TER, the regional express train.
