SENEGAL-INVESTISSEMENTS / APIX invites CIS to get involved in State investment projects

Africa-Press – Senegal. APIX Director General Abdoulaye Baldé, during a visit to the Senegalese Investors Club (CIS) on Thursday, invited its members to get involved in the investment projects of the State and to integrate the special economic zones (ZES).

« Mr. Baldé […] spoke » to the members of the CIS about the « new business model of the special economic zones by inviting the private sector to get involved in the investment projects in progress », affirms the APIX in a statement.

The president of CIS, Pierre Goudiaby, spoke of “win-win partnership with all the countries that invest in Senegal, in order to put their private sector in business relations” with Senegalese entrepreneurs, adds APIX.

Mr. Goudiaby « also returned to their contribution as added value […] in the minerals sector with the support of APIX, to facilitate contacts with the State, particularly on land issues », reports the source.

The president of the CIS “insisted on the new type of partnership that this part of the private sector wishes to have” with the State Investment Promotion Agency.

« APIX, the main interlocutor for investors on behalf of the State, is happy to make this working visit to continuously improve dialogue, in more dynamic, frequent and innovative frameworks, » said its managing director.

The government agency and the Senegalese Investors Club also discussed investment, environment and business codes, during their meeting during which Abdoulaye Baldé sent CIS « a strong invitation » to forum « Invest in Senegal ».
