Africa-Press – Senegal. The Democratic League (LD) advocates strengthening the unity of the Benno Bokk Yaakaar (BBY) coalition and suggests that it conduct “inclusive consultations” with a view to appointing a « unique and consensual candidate » in the presidential election of 2024.
‘’Considérant l’enjeu capital de l’élection présidentielle du 25 février 2024’’, le secrétariat permanent de la LD ‘’exhorte les parties prenantes de Benno Bokk Yaakaar à renforcer l’unité et la cohésion de la coalition’’.
‘’Il appelle à des concertations inclusives pour désigner un candidat unique et consensuel de Benno Bokk Yaakaar, capable de conduire la coalition à une victoire massive’’, ajoute la Ligue démocratique dans un communiqué.
Nicolas Ndiaye and his comrades share, at the same time, “the readiness of the LD to do everything possible for the advent of a plural [and] strong left”.
They are delighted with the “glowing assessment of the public policies” carried out by Macky Sall and the members of the government “in all areas, for the benefit of the populations”.
