Africa-Press – Senegal. Political subjects relating to the national dialogue initiated by the President of the Republic and to the « people’s dialogue » launched by the platform the living forces of the nation (F24) are on the menu of the daily newspapers received on Tuesday to the Senegalese Press Agency (APS).
« The actors of the political dialogue are looking for the key » around the candidacies of Karim Wade, Khalifa Sall and Macky Sall, according to Sud Quotidien.
« Instead of articles L29 and L 30 of the electoral code, notes the newspaper, the actors involved in the political dialogue are aiming for the modification of article L28 to the reinstatement of persons struck off the electoral lists following conviction. « . In addition to the rehabilitation and the amnesty measure referred to in this provision, it has been proposed to add presidential pardons to this list. A Technical Commission will be responsible for deciding this posture, the publication continued.
« Breaks on the candidacies », headlines L’Observateur. “The question of candidacy and that of civil and political rights were not settled yesterday by the Political Commission for National Dialogue. Not having found a consensus on these questions, the actors have decided to continue the work today, ”reports L’Obs.
Meanwhile, according to Info, the F-24 platform is going on the offensive through the launch of its “dialogue with the People” at Cité Keur Gorgui.
The F-24 opposed to a candidacy of Macky Sall in 2024 calls on the Senegalese to “celebrate June 23 together in communion (…) and to give an unprecedented popular hiding to the great popular mobilization of next July 14”, indicates the Log.
After a first dispersed meeting, the F24 is relaunching « its dialogue with the people », according to the daily Bës Bi.
« After a first stifled attempt, the living forces of the nation (F24) returned to the charge by relaunching the + people’s dialogue +. In a press conference yesterday, opposition leaders and civil society actors laid new foundations for these meetings against the power in place, » writes the newspaper.
