Africa-Press – Senegal. The president of zone 1 of Oréfondé, Mamadou Goloko, pleaded on Sunday for the construction of sports infrastructure in the commune to allow young people to practice sport in good conditions.
»We appeal to the country’s authorities, telling them that sport is well practiced in the commune, but also in the Matam region. We need modern sports infrastructures that promote the good practice of football, » he said.
Mr. Goloko spoke during a ceremony to hand over jerseys, balls and funding to the 21 sports and cultural associations (ASC) in the two areas of the commune of Oréfondé.

Mamadou Goloko a également invité les bonnes volontés du village à s’impliquer afin d’aider les jeunes à disposer d’un stade de football.
The 21 ASCs in the two zones of Oréfondé each received a ball, sets of jerseys and financial support amounting to 100,000 CFA francs.
Four balloons and a sum of 200,000 CFA francs were given to the two areas affiliated with the Matam Holiday Activities Coordination Body (ODCAV).
